The holding element (10) has holder ends (11, 12) arranged at an inner-side of a vehicle door (2). A holding part (13) is arranged outside of the vehicle door, provided between the holder ends and serves for operation by a user. A film-like function layer (20) is integrated in the holder ends and comprises a lubricant e.g. PTFE, and a bonding agent. The film-like function layer serves for noise reduction during operation of the holding element. The holding part is freely formed by the function layer, which exhibits thickness of 50-400 micrometer preferably 100-200 micrometer. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a holding unit (2) a method for manufacturing of a holding element.
