The valve assembly (20) has parallel-connected valve units (30) that are switched between a blocking position and a passage position. A control valve is provided in the form of 4/2-valves in the respective valve unit. A supply terminal (P) is connected with a working port of associated hydraulic consumer (12a-12c) and a tank connection is blocked, during passage position of valve unit. The supply terminal is blocked and the working port is connected with the tank connection during blocking position of valve unit. An independent claim is included for a hydraulic system.
