PURPOSE: A novel strain is provided to ensure remarkable antagonism to Rhizoctonia solani and Sclerotinia homoeocarpa, to continuously prevent turf grass pathogen, and to be used as an eco-friendly and cheap microorganism formulation. CONSTITUTION: A novel Bacillus vallismortis GG290(deposit number KCCM11211P) is isolated and cultured in soil and has antagonism to turf grass diseases. The strain has antagonism against Rhizoctonia solani and Sclerotinia homoeocarpa. A method for culturing the strain with excellent antioxidation comprises a step of culturing the strain in a medium containing sorbitol as a carbon source.
