PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To continuously transfer predetermined foil images at a high speed only to a predetermined toner image, with high positional accuracy and productivity.SOLUTION: A foil transfer apparatus for transferring a predetermined positive foil image on a predetermined positive toner image selected from among all toner images formed on a sheet P includes: an imaging part 60, a first heat transfer part 306, a second heat transfer part 308, and a cleaning part 67. The imaging part 60 has a photoreceptor 61 and a belt member 66, forms a predetermined negative toner image onto the photoreceptor 61, and forms a predetermined negative toner image by inverting the predetermined toner image selected from among all the toner images on the sheet P, on the belt member 66. After transferring the predetermined positive foil image left on the foil sheet to the sheet P, the predetermined negative toner image on the belt member 66 and the predetermined negative foil image are removed, thereby allowing the belt member 66 to be used again and again. |
