PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a copper strip capable of restraining influence of burrs generated with slitting of the copper strip such as dropping-out of the burrs in a battery, and a manufacturing method for a copper strip.SOLUTION: A side face forming system 100 includes a feeding section 101 at the uppermost upstream side, and driving rollers 109r at the lowermost downstream side. Chamfering units 103c, 105c for removing at least a part of cut faces of side faces 10s of a copper slit material 10 are arranged in the middle of the side face forming system 100 in order to chamfer ends 10c of the side faces 10s of the copper slit material 10. Thus, the burrs projected from the ends at lower parts of the cut faces can be removed.
