摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately and efficiency grind a workpiece formed with a flange which is liable to be bent by controlling bend amounts at two positions different in the bending easiness of the flange and the progress and retreat of a rotating grinding stone on the basis of a grinding load.SOLUTION: In a grinder 10 which rotates a workpiece W around a control center and grinds the surface Wa of a flange Wb which is liable to be bent by using a rotating grinding stone 33, a grinding load L is detected by a current value of a grinding stone drive motor 32 for rotating the rotating grinding stone 33, a workpiece inside dimension S of a bend-small portion of the flange Wb and a workpiece outside dimension T of a bend-large portion of the flange Wb are detected by sizing sensors 23, 24, and progress and retreat to the surface Wa of the rotating grinding stone 33 is adjusted on the basis of the grinding load L, the workpiece inside dimension S and the workpiece outside dimension T.
