PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a facial image collation apparatus capable of performing facial image collation while reducing undesirable influences due to changes in illumination, shielding and/or orientation of face without eliminating unique portions of a face.SOLUTION: An inter-block distance calculation section 102 calculates a distance between a feature vector of an input image and feature vector of a registered image in each corresponding divided block. A block weight calculation section 104 calculates the number feature vectors of the input image and the registered images located at a distance smaller than a threshold value in each corresponding divided block, and calculate the weight of each block based on the number. An integration distance calculation section 105 calculates an integration distance using the weight of each block calculated by the block weight calculation section 104.
