PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable terminal which determines a shift from a state where a portable terminal is not used for a while to a state that the use of the portable terminal is started.SOLUTION: A portable terminal includes: a housing; an inclined angle detection part detecting an inclined angle of the housing; and a holding state determination part determining the holding state of the housing on the basis of the contact state of a person, which holds the housing, with the housing. The portable terminal determines that the use of the portable terminal is started on the basis of the holding state of the housing determined by the holding state determination part when the inclined angle detection part detects a change of the inclined angle which is equal to or larger than a given angle. |
