摘要 This magnesium alloy has a chemical structure containing no less than 0.02 mol% and less than 0.1 mol% of one or more elements selected from an yttrium-, scandium-, and lanthanoid-system rare earth element, the balance being made up of magnesium and unavoidable impurities. This magnesium alloy member is manufactured by conducting hot plastic working at a temperature of 200 to 550°C and a subsequent isothermal heat treatment at a temperature of 300 to 600°C on the magnesium alloy. The present invention provides a magnesium alloy that can be suitably used in automotive vehicles, rolling stock, aerospace flight vehicles etc., wherein the magnesium alloy and the magnesium alloy member overcome the problem of yield stress anisotropy and are not readily susceptible to a rise in the price of rare earth elements.
