Embodiments consistent with the present invention enable multiple users, who are members of an associated communication context, to collectively purchase or reserve goods or services and/or to receive fulfillment for goods or services for other members. One embodiment relates to a method (300) of performing a collective purchase of one or more items, which may be goods and/or services, by a set of multiple users. Another embodiment relates to a method (600) of performing a collective reservation of one or more goods or services by a set of multiple users who are members of a communication context. Another embodiment relates to a method (900 or 900') that allows one or more users to purchase or reserve goods or services using electronic computer interfaces and authorizes a receiving user to receive fulfillment of the goods or services.
