The method involves electrically connecting a current-conductive element (5) with a photoelectric converter region (4). The photoelectric converter region in an output state of contact regions is exposed to an intensive incidence light with preset irradiation intensity for a predetermined period. A local heating in the contact regions is carried out by photoelectric voltage produced by the incidence light and initiated current flow in the conductive element for causing annealing and reduction of contact region resistance. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a method for regeneration of a photovoltaic device (2) an arrangement for execution of a method for manufacturing a photovoltaic device.
