The pressure relief device (2) has a housing (23) with inlet opening and outlet opening for blast gases. A rupture disc is provided to open and close the inlet opening at the predetermined breaking points so that the entry of the gases into the housing is possible. A flame arrestor (21) is arranged in front of the outlet opening and is viewed in the outlet opening and/or in a part of the housing from a flow direction from the inlet opening to the outlet opening. The flame arrester is provided with a honeycomb layer.
