[Class 39 (iii)] An electric oven has as its source of heat a plurality of tanks disposed about a hearth, each tank containing salts held in a state of fusion by the passage of an electric current through their mass. The oven may have a tank 2 on each side of a central chamber 1 and a third tank 2 at the back of the oven, the current for each tank being supplied by independent electrodes 3. Alternatively the oven may be tunnel-shaped with a central hearth, a tank being disposed along each side of the hearth. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 comprises also (1) an oven with a central hearth surrounded by a ring-shaped tank (2) an oven with a centrally disposed tank. This subjectmatter does not appear in the Specification as accepted. |
