PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system which is a low cost and withstands a fault.SOLUTION: A data communication system comprises: a host including a first receiver and a second receiver; a plurality of communication devices having one or a plurality of clients including a transmitter connected between a signal node and a transmission node, the transmitter selectively transmitting a multistate signal from the signal node to the transmission node; and a single conductor daisy-chain loop which redundantly communicates each multistate signal from each transmitter to both receivers and electrically communicates each transmission node with the receivers. A data communication method includes the steps of: a) selectively transmitting a multistate signal from one or each of a plurality of clients; b) electrically communicating each multistate signal at a first position on a host using the single conductor connected to each client; and c) communicating each multistate signal at a second position on the host using the single conductor. |
