PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve heat exchange efficiency of a water-cooled gas cooler in a container refrigerator having the water-cooled gas cooler, when employing a supercritical refrigeration cycle using carbon dioxide as a refrigerant.SOLUTION: A container refrigerator (1) includes a refrigerant circuit (10) in which a compressor (21), a water-cooled gas cooler (51) and an evaporator (24) are successively connected. The refrigerant circuit (10) carries out a supercritical refrigeration cycle in which carbon dioxide is used as a refrigerant and the pressure of the refrigerant discharged from the compressor (21) exceeds the critical pressure of the refrigerant. The water-cooled gas cooler (51) is divided into an upstream side water-cooled gas cooler (52) for cooling the refrigerant discharged from the compressor (21) and a downstream side water-cooled gas cooler (53) for cooling the refrigerant cooled by the upstream side water-cooled gas cooler (52). A water medium as a cooling source of the water-cooled gas cooler (51) is supplied in parallel with the upstream side water-cooled gas cooler (52) and the downstream side water-cooled gas cooler (53). |
