PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic head of microwave assisted magnetic recording system, which can apply AC magnetic field with high intensity to a recording layer of a magnetic recording medium.SOLUTION: In a magnetic head for a magnetic storage of microwave assisted magnetic recording system using a high-frequency magnetic field generation element, the high-frequency magnetic field generation element includes a high-frequency magnetic field generation layer FGL that faces the magnetic recording medium at the time of recording. When the width of bottom face of the high-frequency magnetic field generation layer FGL viewed from track direction (x direction) of the magnetic recording medium is defined as w, and the height thereof is defined as h, the relationship of h≥2w is satisfied. |
