A method, device and system for processing instant messaging information and setting a terminal priority. The method for processing instant messaging information comprises: each terminal which has been started up under the same account of a user respectively receiving priority information corresponding to each terminal which is issued by a cloud server; when receiving instant messaging information, the terminal which has been started up judging whether the priority thereof is the highest according to the received priority information, and if yes, processing the received instant messaging information; and if not, making no response to the received instant messaging information. The method, device and system in the embodiments of the present invention can be applied to improve the privacy of private information about a user, increase the security thereof, and avoid the problem of processing confusion.
