<p>This technique relates to a signal processing device and a signal processing method with which a signal can be output in accordance with specifications required by a subsequent module. A clock width (Nint) corresponding to the data rate in a valid segment in which transport stream (TS) packets exist is calculated, and a clock signal having a period amounting to said clock width (Nint) is generated and output as a shaped TS clock signal obtained by shaping the TS clock signal of the TS packets.
