The device (23) has a spring element (11) e.g. spiral spring, stretching a fork (6) in a direction, in which the fork pushes a supporting leg (4) away from a golf bag into a standing position in a position. The fork is connected with the supporting leg in a hinge (9). The fork is movable into another position against force of the spring element by an actuating element (18), where the supporting leg at the golf bag is pivoted in the latter position. A lever mechanism (12) is connected with the actuating element, the fork, and an upper region of the golf bag, and self-lockingly designed.
