The siphon (100) has a siphon housing (200) comprising primary and secondary chambers (8a, 8b), which are separated from each other by a displaceable partition wall (19). A part of the partition wall is adjustable or removable and insertable in a mounted state of the siphon, so that an opened cleaning position (P2) or a closed operating position (P1) of the siphon is selectable. An outer side of the siphon housing is lined with sound-absorbing material or insertable into a casing made of the sound-absorbing material. The siphon housing comprises a siphon sub-chassis (1). An independent claim is also included for a method for cleaning a siphon. |
