The present invention relates to spherical silica manufactured by using sodium silicate and a manufacturing method thereof and, especially, to spherical silica manufactured by using the sodium silicate which is produced with a process, which is improved as compared to the existing process using TEOS, by using sodium silicate capable of mass-producing spherical silica measured in um which is suitable for being used as a filler of ECM by using a droplet pyrolysis method at an affordable price, wherein the sodium silicate is considerably cheaper than TEOS used in the existing process, and a manufacturing method thereof. The present invention comprises: a silicate raw liquid manufacturing step of removing sodium from sodium silicate and manufacturing silicate; a droplet forming step of forming the silicate raw liquid into a droplet state; a pyrolyzing step of pyrolyzing the silicate raw liquid of the droplet state; and a spherical silica producing step of producing spherical silica by drying spherical silica formed through the pyrolyzing step.
