PURPOSE: A biomaterial test apparatus and a method for controlling the same are provided to accurately control temperature of a sample and reagents, to reduce the error of a result, and to save time and electricity. CONSTITUTION: A biomaterial test apparatus comprises: a platform(120), a driving unit(110), a heating and cooling device(130), a temperature sensing unit(150), and a control unit(140). The platform contains the biomaterial and is inserted to the apparatus and drawn from the apparatus. The driving unit rotates the platform. The heating and cooling device heats or cools a platform-containing chamber. The temperature sensing unit comprises a first temperature sensing unit which senses temperature of the platform, and a second temperature sensing unit which senses temperature in the platform-containing chamber. The control unit controls the heating and cooling device or the driving unit according to the sensed result.
