发明名称 Improvements in and connected with hinges
摘要 376,624. Hinges ; stays. SMART, J., 40, Regent House, Commercial Road, Stepney, London. Dec. 1, 1931, No. 33332. [Classes 65 (i) and 65 (ii).] A door hinge has a pair of links each pivoted to the other and to the upper or lower edge of one of the hinge plates, so that when the door is closed the links fold against one another between door and doorpost, and the links limit the opening of the door. As shown in the Figure, 1, 2 are the hinge plates, connected by a pin 3 ; hinged to the upper or lower edges of the members 1, 2 are triangular plates 9, 10 respectively, these two plates being hinged together at 14. The axes of the four hinges all intersect in a common point. The plates 9, 10 are provided with abutting edges at the hinge 14 to prevent them from coming into the same plane. As the door is closed, the plates 9, 10 fold away from the hinge plates and are concealed between the door and door post ; the Figure shows the hinge in the open position, with the plates 9, 10 acting as a stay to limit the opening. The hinge plates 1, 2 may have lugs 6 as shown to embrace the corner of the door and door-post and give a stronger attachment.
