Formation fluid composition determination with waste management

A formation fluid sample (108) is drawn into a sampling port (112) included in a down hole tool, vaporised (vaporisation section 118) and injected (injection port 120) into a separation section (124). The separated fluid components are then analysed by a detector (128).
Downstream of the detector (128) is a reaction section (144) where the waste is oxidised and the resulting water is stored in a desiccant section (150).
