The present invention relates to a method and an apparatus for finding a missing person and, more specifically, to a method and an apparatus for finding a missing person using an SNS and mobile devices. The method for finding a mission person comprises: a missing person information registration step for receiving, by an SNS information processing device, personal information of a mission person from a first terminal, and registering the received information in at least one SNS server; a missing person related information registration step for receiving, by the SNS information processing device, information related to the mission person from at least one second terminal within a given distance, and registering the received information in the at least one SNS server; and a missing person information registration notification step for notifying the first terminal of missing person related information registration if the SNS information processing device determines that the information of the missing person is obtained using the personal information of the missing person and the information related to the mission person in order that the first terminal can find the missing person by obtaining the information related to the missing person.
