The bearing unit has a main surface on which tin-containing layer structure is arranged. An outer, thermally-sprayed coating layer of the layer structure is composed of impurities of tin. The thermally-sprayed coating layer is formed by atmospheric plasma spraying process, vacuum plasma spraying process, flame spraying process, high velocity oxy-fuel coating spraying (HVOF) process or cold gas spraying process. An intermediate layer is provided between the surface of the substrate of bearing unit and the outer, thermally-sprayed coating layer. An independent claim is included for spraying method for manufacturing bearing unit. |
