The airbag arrangement has a gas bag for protecting a person located outside of a vehicle (1) along a partial section of a windscreen (11) or other portion of an exterior of the motor vehicle. The gas bag is arranged in housing (21), where the housing is different from a cover (12) of a receiving area of a motor vehicle. The cover extends to the front of the windscreen.
