PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multi-needle type titanium dioxide particle which consists of a plurality of needle type crystals, a multi-needle type titanium dioxide particle coating, a titanium dioxide-based device, and methods for manufacturing them. SOLUTION: The multi-needle type titanium dioxide particle is such that a plurality of needle type titanium dioxide crystals are combined at the center of the particle and the titanium dioxide crystals are integrated. Since the plurality of needle type crystals take a shape which grew up to be radial from the center, it has a concavo-convex structure on the surface. The needle type crystal is a crystal which grows anisotropically in the direction of c-axis of anatase titanium dioxide.
