PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rubber composition excellent in low fuel consumption property and wet grip performance, and a pneumatic tire using it. SOLUTION: This rubber composition comprises 5-30 mass% of an acrylonitrile-styrene-butadiene terpolymer in a rubber component which contains ≥30 mass% of natural rubber.
