PURPOSE: A manufacturing method of aromatic compounds is provided to manufacture catechol and phenol-based compounds with high yield by using a tungsten oxide alumina catalyst in a hydrodeoxygenation. CONSTITUTION: A manufacturing method of aromatic compounds comprises a step of transforming a lignin transformation material to a chemical aromatic compound by using 14-53 weight% of a tungsten-based catalyst based on the weight of a support in a hydrodeoxygenation using a catalyst-support. The tungsten is a tungsten oxide(WOx). The catalyst additionally comprises nickel or cobalt as a cocatalyst. The hydrodeoxygenation is conducted at 200-400 °C and 5-10 MPa for 1-3 hours.
