The present invention relates to an earth retraining wall and, more specifically, to an earth retraining wall and a construction method for an earth retraining wall including: a pile that has groove-shaped concave parts for an earth retaining plate on both sides and is arranged on the foundation ground at predetermined intervals; a curved earth retaining plate that is located between the two adjacent piles, is inserted into each of the concave parts of the earth retaining plate to which both ends are adjacent, and receives earth pressure through an earth pressure surface having a protruding curved surface; and a vertical stiffener that is coupled to the back of the curved earth retaining plate or the earth pressure surface. The present invention, which relates to the earth retraining wall using the curved earth retaining plate in which the vertical stiffener is formed, can increase the structural stability to a vertical load when the earth retaining plate is pressed and to a horizontal load caused by earth pressure in the event of excavation by increasing the moment of inertia of the earth retaining plate by using the vertical stiffener.
