<p>The machine has a sensor (15) attached to processing devices i.e. inkjet printing unit (14), for automatically measuring a statically printed printing web (12). The sensor controls the respective printing unit depending on measurement of the web to position a dynamic print format to be printed in a transportation direction or transverse to the transportation direction of the web at a desired position on the web. A control device (16) is attached to each printing unit to provide control commands to each printing unit without depending on a printing machine control system.</p>
