The present invention relates to a control system for supplying welding gas and a method thereof, and is characterized by comprising: a main tank to store welding gas; piping to supply welding gas stored in the main tank to each plant; multiple valves installed at the front end of each of the plants to adjust the pressures of the welding gas; multiple pressure sensing parts installed at the rear end of the valve to check the pressures of the welding gas; and a control part to store necessary pressures required for a welding operation at each of the plants and to control opening of each of the valves so that the pressure of the welding gas can be above the necessary pressure. A control system for supplying welding gas and a method thereof are provided with valves at the main tank and the front end of each plant, identify a pressure required for welding at each plant to appropriately open and close the valves so as to cut off the supply of the welding gas at an excessively high pressure, and can reduce costs while guaranteeing effectiveness of operations without causing inconvenience to workers at each plant by continuously supplying welding gas above a certain pressure.
