A device for connecting batteries of different types for a battery pack system which enables easy connection of batteries of different types to an existing battery system can be provided. A battery system according to the invention includes: a battery module having plural battery cells and a battery control unit which gathers battery information of the plural battery cells; and a control unit to which the battery information of the battery module is inputted. The battery system is characterized in that the battery module and the control unit are connected via a device for connecting batteries of different types, and that the device for connecting batteries of different types has a control information processing unit which converts the battery information based on a communication protocol of the battery control unit and a communication protocol of the control unit.
