The present invention relates to a control system and method for supplying welding gas, which comprises: a main tank to store welding gas; a pipe to supply welding gas stored in the main tank to each plant; multiple valves installed at the front end of each of the plants to adjust the pressure of the welding gas; multiple pressure sensing parts installed at the rear end of the valve to check the pressure of the welding gas; a leakage sensing part to check the pressure at the rear end of the valve at regular time intervals after the supply of the welding gas is stopped by sealing each of the valves and to determine whether air leaks through the pressure change. The control system and method for supplying welding gas according to the present invention rapidly repair a place where air leaks by confirming the pressure change after a specific time following the temporary stop of the supply of the gas flowing into a part of or the whole plants and recognizing a place where the pressure is drastically declined as an air leaking place.
