PURPOSE: An environment-friendly fuel cell system is provided to generate a large amount of hydrogen by a small amount of magnesium hydride, to be environment-friendly, to have a small amount of noise, and to have low operation temperature. CONSTITUTION: An environment-friendly fuel cell system(100) comprises an oxygen supply unit(120) storing liquefied oxygen and supplying a vaporized oxygen, a reactor(130) generating hydrogen by reacting magnesium hydride(MgH2) and water, a water supply unit supplying water to the reactor, a polymer electrolyte type fuel cell(150) generating electricity by receiving hydrogen and oxygen from the reactor and the oxygen supply unit, and a cooling unit(160) for cooling the reactor.
