<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a commodity sales system, an electronic money storage medium and a deadline management method which allow easy management of various deadlines of commodities and great reduction of burdens of customers and clerks. <P>SOLUTION: A commodity sales processor acquires an identifier of each commodity, acquires commodity information and deadline information related to the commodity based on the acquired identifier and transmits them to the electronic money storage medium. The electronic money storage medium withdraws a payment of the commodity for the settlement from the electric money balance based on the received commodity information and stores the deadline information in association with the identifier of the commodity.
