PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To store, in a time of emergency, information showing a surrounding situation at a time immediately prior to emergency. SOLUTION: A portable device is provided with a user operation accepting section 101 which accepts user operations; a surrounding situation data acquisition section 102, which acquires surrounding situation data which is the data showing the surrounding situation of the portable device; a storage section 103, which has a memory area for storing at least one piece of recording data in a predetermined form including the surrounding situation data; and a control section 104 which stores the recording data including the latest surrounding situation data into a memory area with predetermined size in the storage section. In the portable device, the control section 104 continues storage processing of the recording data including the latest surrounding situation data into the memory area when a predetermined operation for continuation by a user is performed.
