Integrity test of an encryption key

The method involves complementing an encryption key (K), and verifying coherence between executions of an encryption or decryption algorithm i.e. data encryption standard algorithm, respectively with the encryption key (K) and with complemented encryption key (K'). The key (K) is loaded into a key register (51), and the complemented key (K') is loaded into another key register (52) using a cryptoprocessor (3). An independent claim is also included for an encryption or decryption system comprising a processing circuit for encryption or decryption of data.
