A method and apparatus for stabilising a multi-walled structure, for example stabilising a connection between a wind turbine tower and a supporting structure such as a pile. The structure comprises a first wall 20, a second wall 14 and a filler layer 34, such as grout, sandwiched between the walls. The first and second walls provide first and second sides of the structure. A hole 40 is formed through the walls and filler layer. A hollow open ended tube 52 is inserted through the hole. A peg 68 is inserted through the tube, the peg having on the first side of the structure a head portion having an outer diameter greater than the diameter of the tube. The peg is pulled back through the tube so that the head portion 74 causes the first end of the tube to deform radially outwards beyond the diameter of the tube. A first securing means is secured to a second end of the peg and a second securing means is secured to the second end of the tube. A multi-walled structure is also claimed. |
