A baked product comprises product sections 2a, adjacent product sections separated by a frangible, fragile or brittle portion, and includes at least one rib 6 or 8 extending across and connecting adjacent product sections. The rib strengthens the frangible portion that separates the bite-size product sections, and reduces unintentional breaking or snapping. The frangible portion may have a height lesser than the product sections thereby forming recesses or grooves inbetween. The product sections may have recesses which may be filled with chocolate, toffee, cheese, confectionary or savoury gels or pastes, or nut and fruit pieces. The product sections may form a linear, rectangular or triangular array. A mould may be provided for producing the baked product. The baked product may be a wafer, biscuit, cookie, pastry or waffle, or may be made of cereals such as maize, wheat, corn and oats. |
