[Class 65 (i).] In a device for buffering and preventing rattling of doors, comprising a pair of opposed, movable bearing members co-operating with a spreading member secured to the door, one of the bearing members is slidably mounted for movement in a direction substantially perpendicular to the direction of movement of the other bearing member when the spreading member enters between the two bearing members. In the construction shown, the upper bearing member 5 is mounted to slide horizontally backwards against the action of a spring 24 and the lower bearing member 6 rocks about its forward edge against a spring 35 when the spreading member 4 on the door edge engages the bearing members. |
