<p>The present disclosure provides for electronic drawing using a virtual ruler 110. An image 302, 502, 704 rendered on a display 106 of an electronic device 108 executing a drawing application in response to stylus input is bounded by an edge 402 of a virtual ruler 110. The virtual ruler 110 is rendered in a region of the display 106 in response to user input, the region being bounded by an edge 402 of the virtual ruler 110. In response to a received stylus gesture, a line 302, 502,704 is rendered on the display 106 outside of the region bounded by the edge 402 of the virtual ruler 110. Stylus input inside the region may be ignored or auto-corrected to the edge 402 of the ruler 110. Stylus input outside of the region may be auto-corrected to the edge 402 of the virtual ruler or used without correction.</p> |
