A thick denier noncircular cross sectional yarn comprises 2-10 of thick denier noncircular cross sectional segments (S) which are formed by surface-fusion among 2-20 of monofilaments (Mf). The thick denier noncircular cross sectional yarn is partitioned into 2-10 of small periods (D1). 2-10 Mfs are passed in a state of incompletely solidified state by spinneret for each small period supplied with cooling fluid. The surfaces of the MFs which are passing the same small period are fused to form 2-10 of thick denier noncircular cross sectional segments (S), continuously, the thick denier noncircular cross sectional segments are completely solidified then focused and wrapped. The present invention can manufacture thick denier fiber by using common thin denier fiber manufacturing apparatus, and can manufacture noncircular cross sectional fiber even by using spinneret. The thick denier noncircular cross sectional fiber can show the effects of noncircular cross sectional fiber and thick denier fiber at the same time, therefore, it can be used as material for shower towel or pot cleaner with the uneven and hard feelings. |
