The drive has a fastening device (5) for fastening to a trailer, and a carrier (3) movable relative to the fastening device. A drive motor (1) is held by the carrier. A drive roller (2) is rotatably drivable by the drive motor. A braking device brakes a rotary movement of the roller. The drive motor and the braking device are arranged coaxially to each other. A transmission device (4) is provided in a flux of force between the drive motor and the roller, where the transmission device does not comprises a self-locking feature. The braking device is arranged on a drive shaft of the drive motor.
