The present invention relates to a filtering media composition for a fish tank for freshwater fishes and seawater fishes, and, in particular, to a filtering media composition capable of the nitrogen circulation cycle of a fish tank without changing the water in the fish tank for a long period as the filtering media composition is suitable to be used as a habitation carrier of various bacteria including anaerobic bacteria. The filtering media for a fish tank according to the present invention is manufactured by uniformly mixing 1 part by weight <= zeolite powder <= 3 parts by weight, 0.6 parts by weight <= activated carbon <= 1.8 parts by weight, 1.5 parts by weight <= volcano stones <= 3 parts by weight, 0.6 parts by weight <= red clay balls <= 2.5 parts by weight and 1.5 parts by weight <= oyster shell powder <= 3 parts by weight when 85 liter of water filled in a fish tank is considered as 100 parts by weight of water in case of the fish tank for breeding seawater fishes, wherein the particle size of zeolite powder is preferred to be 0.5-10 mm, the activated carbon 2-7 mm, volcano stones 2-10 mm, red clay balls 1-10 mm, and the oyster shell powder 1-5 mm. |
