PURPOSE: A rubber composition for tire cord topping is provided to improve the adhesion between a tire cord and the rubber composition and aging resistance. CONSTITUTION: A rubber composition for tire cord topping includes 100.0 parts by weight of a raw rubber and 3-10 parts by weight of a maleic anhydride-grafted ethylene propylene diene rubber (EPDM). The maleic anhydride-grafted ethylene propylene diene rubber includes 1-5 parts by weight of maleic anhydride per 100.0 parts by weight of ethylene propylene diene rubber. The rubber composition additionally includes 20-90 parts by weight of a carbon black, 0.5-2.5 parts by weight of a cobalt salt, and 2-4 parts by weight of an alkyl phenol resin per 100.0 parts by weight of the raw rubber. |
