The device has functional blocks for controllable, bi-directional energy exchange between an induction machine with a cable and an external energy storage with a positive pole (P) and a negative pole (N). One of the functional blocks (100) is designed as a power-laterally connection-compatible functional block that has an internal energy storage (9) in the form of an unipolar storage capacitor. The functional block has an additional switching state in which an output voltage is positive than the positive pole and/or negative than the negative pole. An independent claim is also included for a method for controlling bidirectional energy exchange between an induction machine and an external storage with a power electronic switching device. |
