PURPOSE: A hot water storage apparatus and a fuel cell system are provided to not need to use a ball valve, to not need to additionally use a pump, and to not need additional level sensors, thereby simplifying components and facilitating maintenance and repair. CONSTITUTION: A fuel cell system(100) comprises a stack unit(130)generating electric energy by an electrochemical reaction of hydrogen and air; a hot water storage device which includes a hot water tank(160), a supplemental water supply pipe(11) connected to the hot water tank, a hot water exhaust pipe(162), a switch valve(163) for controlling exhaust of hot water, and an air exhaust valve(165) mounted on the hot water tank; a heat exchanger(150) which exchanges heat of coolant water and the hot water tank; and a coolant circulation pipe(151) connecting the stack unit and the hot water tank.
