PURPOSE: A pipe reel for a pipe laying vessel and a replacement method thereof are provided to reduce time and costs by continuously performing works. CONSTITUTION: A pipe reel (20) for a pipe laying vessel comprises a reel (50) and a frame (60). The reel has a hub in which a pipe is wound. The frame is installed on a pipe laying vessel (10) and supports the reel to be rotatable. The frame comprises a fixed frame (60a) and a moving frame (60b). The fixed frame has a first horizontal shaft inserted into one side of the hub. The moving frame is movable in the axial direction of the hub and has a second horizontal shaft inserted into the other side of the hub. |
